Synopsys Foundation Grant Program

Since 1992, Synopsys has a rich history of providing grants to local communities where we live and work. In fiscal year 2004, we donated $1.2M to science and math programs at eight Synopsys locations. Since Synopsys has a worldwide presence, our global citizenship strategy has evolved to incorporate regional needs.

To meet our annual donation goal of engaging more than 100,000 K-12 grade students in math and science education, we will no longer accept unsolicited grants. Through this approach, employees will develop partnerships with a targeted number of science and math programs so we can better develop the next generation of technology leaders around the world.

Let us know about your organization
If your organization meets our donation criteria and we have not contacted you in the past, please send an email to the Synopsys Grant Program with a short paragraph introducing us to your organization.

Donation criteria:
  • Grants are only considered from 501 (c)(3) organizations or verified charitable entities including schools and school districts
  • Funding is for K-12 (primary/secondary) science and math education projects
  • Provides "hands-on" science, math or technology skills for students and/or teachers
  • Offers new and effective ways to increase student achievement
  • Seeks to work with students/teachers on closing the student achievement gap or provides access for students in high need areas
  • Project is outcome-based, measures impact and offers results
  • Donation could provide volunteer opportunities with Synopsys employees
  • Aligns with Synopsys values of leadership, execution excellence and integrity

At Synopsys, we help improve the quality of life and economic vitality of our community through our global citizenship program. To that end, we will continue to donate money through the Synopsys Foundation - and empower our employees to donate their precious resources of time and money through our employee leadership programs.
